Dominick Gatto is a North American wildlife photographer based in New York. Starting at a young age, Dominick was brought up learning to hunt and enjoy time with friends and family in the outdoors.

Dominick started his career in photography after attending Seton Hall University in 2007. Dominick has worked as an event photographer for 15 years in various areas of New York, including New York City.

Inspired by outdoors magazines and hunting articles, Dominick starting combining his profession as a photographer with his love for the outdoors in early 2019. It wasn’t long before Dominick found himself up close to whitetail deer, wild turkey, waterfowl, and various other forms of wildlife.

In the sweltering heat and bitter cold, Dominick would spend his days in the woods from dawn until dusk chasing his next best photograph. His patience, persistence, and skills as a hunter allowed him to get up close to the wildlife around him. Scouting and carefully planning shooting locations, as well as utilizing equipment such as hunting blinds and camouflage, Dominick captures beautiful photographs of wildlife that would otherwise be unobtainable.

Dominick’s photographs have been featured in editorial publications, used in scientific research on whitetail deer behavior, licensed by hunting and outdoor companies internationally, and printed as fine-art home decoration. Dominick has been a guest speaker at hunting and photography events, hosted workshops and editing classes, and is regarded as one of the top wildlife photographers in the United States.

All profits from art prints sold by Dominick Gatto are donated to the WLS Foundation and Camp Hero. Through commercial sales and auctioned artwork, Dominick has raised thousands of dollars for charity with his photography. Learn more about Dominick’s charity work here:
